Hello everyone, let’s start with the big news first.
Dark Leningrad

Cover made by the wonderful Gavriel Quiroga (Warpland Neurocity, Hell Night…)
You can subscribe to the kickstarter’s pre-launch page so you’ll be the first to know when it’s going live (early June). If the project picks your interest, please, share the link around on your favorite social media platforms as it helps a lot (really you have no idea how much it helps indie creators).
The IRON PILGRIMS or “Oh this new idea killed the previous idea!”
So I scraped my Shadowdark idea because I found there already was what seems to be a great spear & fang type of setting for it (Soulblight - The First Cycle). Not to worry because of course, I already have another idea.
On a personal level I’m a bit tired of viking/norse-related rpgs that are all doom and gloom and despair and grim-grimminy dark. So I went for something a bit different… a 2d6-based game called Iron Pilgrims: Fighting Despair with Battle Axes.
After the Great Calamity came the Age of Strife
So much violence was imposed on us, so much fear
That our Gods’ sadness created the Sea of Tears.
Our people are born in blood.
Accepting Cold as our father
Welcoming Snow as our mother.
Our land sharpens us like blades.
You, brothers and sisters, are the sharpest.
_What? Knud can barely write his name and Gunhild almost drank herself to death to win a bet!
_Shush brother! Let me finish.
You’ve been selected for the Iron Pilgrimage.
Find and kill our enemies, teach them to never go North.
There’s no going back for you. No return home.
For the Great Hall of Our Gods is your final destination.
_They buy that?
_Of course they do: blood, iron, glory, the Holy Trinity of the dim-witted.
_They’ll gladly die on foreign shores as long as we turn their tales into legends.
_That’s sick.
_But efficient brother. We can’t have disobedient morons running around with sharp sticks. Let them have their glory so we can rebuild in peace.
So post-apocalyptic vaguely norse-inspired setting of fun and gory adventures. It’s going to be a 20-ish pages zine, no kickstarter, hopefully released this month or in June (probably itch.io as I don’t see the appeal of a POD for such a small project, let me know in the comments if you’d want one). 5$ seems reasonable. I’ll let you know when it’s out.
The yet unnamed survival-horror game
So this one is really starting to take shape, in fact, I should be able to finish the main book text by mid-July. Four classes, at least 50 spells, already a hundred antagonists (want a Resident Evil-type adventure? No problem. A Backrooms-style haunting? We got you covered). The writing really flows, which is a blessing. After that I’d like to have two adventures ready as well. I’ll keep you updated, the Kickstarter should take place in September/October.
So the good news is, I have a whole lot of work ahead of me! I hope you’re all doing well in the meantime, take care of yourself and your loved ones and go play, this is what helps us all remain sane.
See you soon!
